Lifestyle newborn sessions are all about documenting real, heartfelt connections in a relaxed and natural way. No stiff poses, just cozy cuddles, tiny yawns, and the everyday love that fills your home.
Scheduling Your Session
The best time for a lifestyle newborn session is within the first two weeks after birth, but these sessions are more flexible than studio sessions since we focus on natural interactions instead of posed, sleepy shots. I recommend booking during your second trimester so we can plan ahead, and once baby arrives, we’ll finalize the date. Sessions take place during the day when natural light is at its best, typically in your living room, nursery, or any space in your home with great window light.
Natural Light for Bright, Airy Photos
As a natural light photographer, I rely on the soft, beautiful light streaming through your windows to create bright, airy, and timeless images. Homes with plenty of natural light and neutrally colored walls provide the best results for this style, allowing for clean, glowing photos with a warm and organic feel.
If your home doesn’t have an abundance of natural light or neutral tones, don’t worry! We can still achieve the same cozy, lifestyle feel in my Farmington studio, which is designed to provide that same bright, natural aesthetic. The studio offers a clean, neutral backdrop with soft lighting, ensuring we capture your family’s love and connection in a way that feels just as warm and intimate as home.
